YAMAHA DT 50 RIVARA CHILDS FULL FUNCTION LEARNER MOTORCYCLE
This is a great little geared bike for the youngest of budding motorcyclists.
It has all the features and conventional controls of a full sized machine but with with super low gearing and light clutch for little hands.
It was built for my children back in the day with the ultra reliable Yamaha DT 50 engine in a RIVARA monoshock frame.
It has a very low seat height of only 52 cm.
An in frame fuel tank protected by a cosmetic plastic dummy tank which as can be seen has some cracks.
The bike has been stored unused for at least 23-24 years,
However started readily with fresh fuel. All gears clutch function as they should.
Additionally the exhaust has restriction built into it for softer power delivery, although a larger Dow pipe is included if one wishes to up the output as confidence is gained.
There is naturally a stop control on the handlebar for safety.
It is a little tatty in places to be expected from a learners machine, although actual engine use was little and light.
The forks do have corrosion however these are not oil damped so is purely cosmetic. The front mudguard has been repaired as can be seen.
The simple chain guard is missing so will need a safety guard before use for safety reasons and would equally recommend a full check over, service lube up before use as it has stood for over twenty years.
