RAM YAM TY 175 MONOSHOCK
VERY RARE BELIEVED TO BE 1 OF ONLY A HANDFUL PRODUCED by REX PILE
His design being based on the Whitehawk frame by Mick Whitlock, but utilising a monoshock rear suspension, Steeper steering head angle, better footrests and position plus improved induction with a different air box.
The reliability and success of the original TY 175 underpinnings being legendary remain on these models.
This lovely trials machine has been stored for over 20 years now,
but reliably starting every so often.
The fuel tank is clean having always been left dry, fuel tap and carburettor stripped and cleaned recently and starts on the first or second kick.
The gearbox sprocket seal has been replaced having been found to leak after its first ride recently.
It is in great usable condition. However the rear shock absorber seal has started to leak, tyres are somewhat perished commensurate with age and some of the chrome is worn in places.
It goes without saying this is a super rare machine but sadly the time has come to part company. Open to serious offers
