Description
For sale is my July 2001 BMW 330Ci Coupe, finished to the following gorgeous and the best specification: Topaz blue metallic, with a grey Montana leather electric interior, with Myrtle wood trim to the facia, gear lever surround and doors. The BMW is fitted with the following options: Exterior Mirror pack (313), Front Centre Armrest (Z69/ 473); 6 disc CD changer (672) and the leather interior.
As standard for the 330Ci the car has also the headlamp wash system; Rain sensor; M 'V' spoke style 72M 18" alloy wheels; Electric sports seats; Titanium coloured grille and headlamp surrounds; Chrome exhaust tips and Dynamic Stability Control.
Back in 2001 the car retailed for £30, 505! The car has a mainly full BMW service history, having been serviced at 13659, 28421, 31478, 40684, 56042 and 59900 miles.
The last one of these was a major service where after having bought the car I took it to my BMW specialist and all the fluids and filters were changed and a new radiator fitted to boot. Cost of that was £1142, and as my man said, 'it is now good for life!'
The person I bought the car from had owned it since 2005 and had only kept it as a 'vanity car' using it little therefore, hence the low mileage. There are only 2 former keepers.
This 330Ci is as good as any car of this age can be, really quite pristine both inside and out, as reflected by the mileage and ownership history. It is in fantastic condition, benefiting also from recent new tyres and brake discs all round. The combination of blue bodywork over grey leather with the wood trim is the most attractive to my eye, AND the car is the much rarer and more desirable MANUAL gearbox. I found it really difficult to find this spec of 330Ci in this condition, and as such I consider the car to be fairly unique as such.
Before I purchased the car I insisted on having the subframe inspected, as cracking subframes on the E46 M3 is an issue, and I wanted to ensure that this car was free of that problem, though the non M cars do not seem to suffer from such. Anyway I can say that the car underneath is perfect, rust free, verified by two independant specialists. I would not have bought it otherwise! Full set of original keys and full book pack included of course.
As for performance the car drives like new, pulls like a train, and quite honestly I know not why anybody would need the M3 version at more than twice the cost, as this 330Ci is surely as quick as anybody could use on the road?
All in all a helluva lot of car for the money, and as Quentin Wilson mentioned in Car & Classics magazine recently, a sure fire bet in terms of future appreciation. It's got it all!
