Very nice original example in rare and collectable colour scheme, low mileage with major re-commission/ refurb just carried out at considerable expense.
25k miles with 7 owners from new (low for one of these at 30 years old)
Original fairings and bodywork in excellent condition
Frame and subframe in very good condition.
Stainless downpipes with original end can/ silencer
The following items have been replaced or serviced in the last few months
New tyres
New Chain and sprockets
New Cam chain tensioner
Carbs professionally stripped, rebuilt and balanced with new rubbers
New throttle cables
Fuel tank stripped and cleaned internally
New Regulator rectifier and charging system serviced/ tested, working perfectly
Brake calipers stripped and rebuilt, new pads fitted.
Major service carried out inc plugs, all filters and fluids.
Fork seals were done recently and fork stanchions are also in very good condition. Subtle handlebar risers fitted and these do make the ride more comfortable, very easy to remove and no modifications required to any controls if you wished to revert back to standard height.
Very little to fault it on, rides superbly, an enjoyable modern classic with all the hard work done. It's difficult to find nice original, unrestored CBR's in this condition now.
Excellent value especially given the recent expense and safely depreciation proof. Mot’d till April 2025, HPI clear, 2 keys and owners manual present. Ready to enjoy
