Description
This 1948 MG-TC was shipped directly to America where it was turned into a racecar and competed in numerous Sports Car Club of America events, including the iconic road races at Watkins Glen, Elkart Lake, and several SAC airbases, as well as rallies, hillclimbs, and time trials. It was restored some years ago to its racing trim, by the man who raced it, who parted with it due to health reasons, selling it to the current owner who was the SCCA historian. It is offered for sale now, once again for health reasons. Sale includes authenticated racing history, race results, event trophies, photographs, and collectables. The car came to the UK in 2016 and since then has only been out of the garage for a number of northern Scotland vintage car shows. It was running when put away in the fall of 2023 and has not been out since. I purchased this car because of my interest in the history of American sports car racing (author of 4 books on the subject). The car has an authenticated racing history and featured in some of my books when we took it to revisit the sites of its original races. If you are interested in preserving a documented part of motorsports history, this is the car for you. It comes with its history, racing trophies, photos, and even the drivers suit, helmet and gloves used when it was raced.
