Lotus Eclat Series Two, 2. 2 litre Lotus 914 slant four twin cam engine with twin refurbished Dellorto 45 carburettors, five speed Getrag gearbox, galvanised chassis, GRP body, side impact and rollover bars, Avon alloys.
This car is a workable project. It runs and drives. and has been dry stored since last on the road in 2018. The rear suspension needs a rebuild, the paint needs attention, and the interior needs a tidy up. I would recommend new tyres also.
The car will drive onto a trailer. Location near Thame, close to junction 6 of the M40. The Eclat/ Elite were the last Lotuses to have some design input from Colin Chapman. The Eclat Series Two is a practical four-seater with a great engine and typically sure-footed Lotus handling. Pop up headlights and seventies looks add to the fun. More affordable and arguably just as enjoyable as an Esprit. The JPS scheme on this car was probably added by a dealer.
