Ford Fiesta Mk3 RS1800 – Registered April 1993 in Solid Black64
Owned since 9th July 2016 where it had only 70, 878 miles and attended many shows including RS Owners club but in April 2019 I begin to restore.
Car was completed repainted, Restored and rebuilt in March 2020 and is well known around the north east and Yorkshire area and enjoyed owning classic cars. This RS1800 is of only 20 On the road and a lot are Mk3. 5 on the later L and M registration.
Work Done: -
Panels and Welding: -
New Rear valance
New Driver side sill panel outer only.
Replace bottom of wings with new parts from new sacrificed
wings. (Keep Original)
Underside: -
Removal of all under seal and cleaned floor areas
Etch Primed Underside of floor
2 coats of Raptor underbody protection.
2 coats of Black 2K paint
Powder coating to all parts on underside of car and engine bay.
Engine: -
Removed from car for paint shop to paint.
Cleaned and painted Engine
Cleaned and Painted Gearbox.
Fitted new Sump gasket
Cylinder head removed, Pressure tested, Skimmed and new Valve
seals fitted.
Cylinder Head refitted with 16 new Cam Followers.
Fitted New LUK original Ford Clutch Kit. (eBay Find)
New Ford oil and fuel filters fitted.
Exhaust Standard with Scorpion Back Box (Not Loud)
Interior: -
Removed and cleaned Original Recaro seats and some remedial
work to rear seats(RS1800 Has the Blue Lines in original Material).
Drivers seat new bead fitted.
RS Steering wheel repair as stitching loose at back.
Original Radio and Tape holder in place.
Paintwork: -
Full respray – all glass removed
All Doors and tailgate left on car.
Dashboard and wiring not removed for paint shop.
Wheels: -
Powder Coated silver and Diamond Cut
Spare in original condition with original tyre.
I have enjoyed this car at shows for over 7 years and have attended the Fiesta 25Years anniversary display at Donnington and The Fiesta Farewell show with Wheeler dealers at the Motorist. Comes with 2 Keys and 2 remote Locking and Remote Boot release. MOT till 9th May 2025 (7 MOTs since owned no advisories). Fully documented restore photos. The Car is well loved at all the shows i attend and the comments i receive make all the hard work to achieve the look of a standard car in stunning shining black. The car is a pleasure to drive and with it been an RS model has the performance for modern motorway driving. I average about 1000miles a year to shows.
