Description
Thank you for looking at my 1979 Triumph Dolomite 1500 (TC).
I've priced it realistically at £6250 ONO
It has been renovated in the style of a Dolomite 1500SE. Having looked in to the history and build I don’t think it is that specific model. However, to the unknowing eye it may appear so. It has twin headlamps a blue carpet and the gearbox is upgraded Gearbox with overdrive.
This Dolomite’s rebuild story started back in 2008 with the North East Restoration Club. After several different owners, and a few years in barn storage, it came to me with significant mouse damage and several mechanical issues. I have brought the car back to a reliable, roadworthy and very presentable standard. It can now be driven safely & comfortably for many more miles. I had intended to keep it for my grandson. However, his head has now been turned by a Triumph Stag!!!! Such is the way of the young.
With help from members of the North East Restoration Club, I have managed to compile much of the car's historic documentation for the car. Some documentation has been sadly lost over time.
The car starts, rives and stops as it should. It is a lively, comfortable, smart, very presentable & head turning Dolomite. It rides well on long journeys, with the overdrive, allowing it to keep up with modern traffic easily.
I have added discrete power sockets, relays & electronic ignition to make the car even more usable on today’s busy roads.
Please DO NOT come to see a perfect new showroom car. This 40+yr old car is still in fairly regular use. The paintwork is good and there is NO RUST. However, close inspection reveals it is not perfect.
The dolomite is ready to be driven away and enjoyed. The mileage (57900) may differ because the car is still in use.
So why am I selling? I currently have 3 classics and cannot realistically drive them all.
Thanks for looking
