Description
Bought 3 years ago from a local dealer with 105, 000 miles on the clock and a fully stamped service book with much of the accompanying paperwork.
I had the 100, 000 mile full service done (including change of plugs), and a full gearbox service (as there was no supporting paperwork for these), put two new rear tyres on and got a more recent DVD for the satnav. Since then it has since been maintained and serviced at Jaguar specialists to make sure it's mechanically spot on, with stamps and paperwork to support all work. Recent replacement of the front pedestrian sensors and parking sensor unit. MOT until August.
The car drives very well indeed, comfortable as a motorway cruiser then taut and exciting on more twisty A and B roads, and the engine, chassis and suspension are all good. Everything electrical works as far as I know (though it's a 2006 Jaguar...)
The interior of the car is very good - no cracking on the seats everything is nice and clean. I have additional plastic mat in the driver's side to protect the original mat, as well as a boot liner.
The exterior is not cosmetically perfect. Last year's extreme heat caused some cracking of the lacquer in places, there is a bit of gravel rash on the sills, a few stone chips, and the alloy wheels are not perfect. (I had a quote last autumn from a reputable body shop for about £800 to resolve all the paintwork issues, so the price is adjusted down to reflect that.) Private plate included. This was bought as my daily driver and I have absolutely loved owning and driving it. My regular commute was 2 days/ week to offices about 100 miles away, plus shorter visits to friends, airports, local shopping trips etc. and the car never failed to bring a smile to my face. Plus nobody notices a Porsche in a car park, these are far less common and more stylish.
It isn't a showroom queen - if you're after an immaculate vehicle to take to the pub on a summer evening and keep in concourse condition there are other cars on this site. But if you want a car that you can get in and drive anywhere, really enjoy the engineering, and not be precious about dust or stone chips then this might well be what you're looking for. Enjoy driving it all summer, and either enjoy driving it all winter as well or enjoy getting it to look as good as it drives ready for the spring. The best of both worlds.
Why am I selling? My intention was always to run it for three years or so, before going electric as my main car. That said - If I had the garage space I would keep it - best car I've ever owned, I'll miss it terribly and I'm sure I'll own another.
