Description
1972 Austin Healey Sprite mk4 1275cc probably one of the last to be registered.
‘Annie’ has been in the same family for over 13years previously owned by my dad. In the 3years I’ve owned her she has had a lot of money spent to get her to my standard.
Most notable jobs was a full gearbox overhaul, new clutch and prop shaft done by KN transmission (Preston) last year (bill to prove)
Recent X4 continental tyres, battery, adjustable rear shock absorbers, brake cylinders, pads, fuel pump, all fluids changed, new clutch slave cylinder, engine hoses. There’s a box file full of invoices going back 25years!
Fully restored in 1999 with new body shell by previous owner to my dad (his friend from craven old wheelers)
She runs and looks superb, has electronic ignition, did a 500mile trip last year without issue. There are some slight blemishes as you would expect but nothing major. Interior is excellent, no wear worth noting, mg fitted carpet mats. Cover for folded down hood included and anything else I can find in the shed! Buyer will be delighted. I’ve realised my original asking price of £9500 was too optimistic, even though it stands me at more!! so I massively reduced the price for a quick sale. Annie is a real eye catcher. Whenever I’ve been out I always get admirer’s but in a positive way. She’s a cheap car to run being tax and mot exempt. She returned 36mpg on a 500mile trip to south wales last year. She gives excellent acceleration and can keep up on the motorway. My friend who was a classic car college teacher and mot tester has looked after her for me during my ownership, going from bumper to bumper doing everything to make sure she ran well for me. Change in circumstances now forces a very sad sale.
