This 1960 BMW R60 & Steib S250 belonged to my late father, who bought it from Swindon in the 1980s and gave it a cosmetic restoration . It had had a complete engine rebuild at George White in Swindon in June 1981 - see receipts in photos. Since that rebuild it was only ridden for 3, 219 miles, so the speedo shows 9, 769 miles. I’d describe it as being good condition, not concours and it starts, but doesn’t tick over. I bought a carb service kit and that would be included. See video stills of it running in September of last year. I cleaned out the oil pan and gauze filter (see photos) and gave it fresh oils, fitted new plugs, plug leads, plug caps and condenser, gave the carbs another clean-out and it fired up in September of last year. It is being stored at my sister’s partner’s house near Stroud in Gloucestershire, but viewing can be arranged of course. 1960 BMW R60. Original paperwork. Matching frame and engine numbers.
