Even at 28 years old this car is still blisteringly quick. A very useable fast sports car.
Many hours and pounds spent improving this car over my 8 years of ownership including:-
- New stainless steel exhaust
- New stainless and silicone water pipes.
- Billet thermostat housing.
- Two new lambda sensors
- New alternator and drive belt
- New air-con drive belt and idler pulley
- New battery
- New wiper control ECU
- New rear discs and pads
- New air-con rad
- New throttle potentiometers including support bearing modification.
- New throttle cable and linkages.
- New plugs, leads and coil packs
- Hardly used tyres all round
The car also has had the ECU cooling modification chip installed and the cooling system recently overhauled. It is now quite happy even in traffic on the hottest days. Always starts on the button. Two sets of keys.
Lots of service history with Top Cats Racing up until 49k. Receipt for new clutch, flywheel, slave cylinder, front discs, pads and radiator at 50K. Lot of receipts for parts subsequently.
There are improvements that still can be made to bring this car to top condition. Paint has suffered a little in places, electric mirrors need investigation and wipers are currently one speed only. The stereo is present but does not work. There is slight wear to the driver's seat bolster. There is some windscreen delamination although I have a new screen that can be included for the right price.
This is admittedly no show car but I believe it's condition is fairly reflected in the asking price.
