I have my 1967 MG Midget Mark 3 for sale here. It is quite a special car, when I bought it nearly 3 years ago it was a 1 owner car. The gentleman I bought it from had owned it from new in 1967.
It is one of the most desirable models I understand, the first of the 1275s with the 11 stud head and wire wheels. The car is showing 36, 000 miles which I was assured is correct. The car was rebuilt in 1990 but not driven until I bought it in the summer of 2021. The original owner recommissioned the car in 2020 with the intention of touring in it but on completion he decided he needed a bigger car! It is my understanding that the car was off the road for 40 years. The underside of the car is remarkable with floors and box sections in excellent condition. The underside has been rustproofed with a wax for a very long time. Apparently it has only undergone one small section of welding ever. The paint finish is very professional with a beautiful deep shine. It is a very straight and original car which sits beautifully. Any inspection underneath the car would impress. The engine is mildly tuned with a weber carburettor, Oselli cam and LCB manifold and new stainless steel exhaust. It does go very well. The car drives very well and a lot of fun. Rear suspension has been uprated with anti tramp bars. The interior has been recently re-trimmed with hide and a roll bar and seatbelts fitted. I have replaced some of the chrome. If I was keeping the car then at some stage I would look to replace the hood which has been repaired and not quite up to the standard of the rest of the car. The wheels and tyres are excellent, servo brakes and a period leather rimmed steering wheel.
It is a very lovely car ready to be used and enjoyed. I have owned the car for 3 years but not really driving it often. I have have another Midget and only need one. I have spent a great deal of time fettling and it's a great little car now.
