Description

Avenger A7, disc valve 2 stroke twin from 1971. A revelation in its day as they could match the performance of the 650cc British twins of the time, very stylish with the H1 triple style coffin tank. The engine has been recently rebuilt with all new wearing parts, pistons, bearings and seals; the cases and covers repainted in silver epoxy paint and the barrels and heads burnished all at a cost of around £4000. Recorded mileage is 15, 500 which I believe to be accurate and it runs and handles beautifully, a gazelle in a world of modern elephants. This bike was one of the Classic Bike 2010 reader restoration of the year, pristine then and it’s almost as good now. A very rare bike and being disc valve, pretty unique this one especially so as I actually use it. Devastatingly good in it's day and still performs and handles well and a real good looker.
