Description
This car was manufactured in England for the US market on 6 April 1977 in the colour British Racing Green. It was exported to California, which has the best climate for a car. Being the US version, the car is left-hand drive (LHD). It was then imported by Mr H. Sjoerds from Hilversum on 6 Dec 1990, after which Mr H. V. van Rijn from Lijnden restored the car. All accounts and photos of the restoration are supplied with the car. An appointment was made with the RDW on 12 May 1999, after which the car was registered for the first time in the Netherlands on 22 June 1999. The yellow number plate was 69-DB-NT. I bought the car on 6 Nov 2013 from inheritance.
As the car was not in optimal technical condition at that time, I had MG oldtimer garage "De Zeemeeuw" in Wormer restore the car completely.
The bills of this technical restoration are present. In 2014, a historic registration was applied for at the RDW, so the car has had the (blue) registration number 01-YD-78 since then. Since 2014, I have enjoyed taking summer tours. The car has had no damage and has always been stored indoors and is absolutely rust free! This beautiful MG was produced in the UK for the American market (California). Imported to Holland and body-off restoration took place. In 2014 the car was technical restored.
