(Price Drop) 1972 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme
Engine: 350ci Rocket 5. 7L with 4BBL Quadrajet

Up for sale is my 1972 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme. Reason for sale is pretty simple, the car is too 'tame' for me. I like fast and loud whereas this is a perfect, comfortable cruiser, which isn't what I'm after. Suspension and seats are plush, car has a lovely V8 burble and is amazingly quiet inside with the windows rolled up.
Background & Restoration Info
Car was imported into the UK in October 2023 from California and it retains the original dealers trim ,'Brucks Oldsmobile', around the rear reg plate.
Since then it's gone through a light restoration including: new upholstery and headliner, full respray in metallic green (touch up paint included), new suspension components, a full service incl. engine oil, oil filter, gearbox oil and filter, brake pads and shoes, new air filter, new fuel filter & fuel hoses, new rear diff pinion seal and gear oil, new aluminium radiator & coolant, new temperature sensor and oil pressure sensor.
I've done a 379 mile trip shortly after acquiring this car and it hasn't missed a beat. Solid 18 UK MPG on the motorway too - not bad at all. Truly a turn-key, go anywhere kind of car.
Mechanical Info
Engine is the original 350ci/ 5. 7L 'Rocket' unit, producing 200BHP and bags of torque. It has no leaks, no blow-by, no oil consumption, produces zero smoke, has no weird noises and runs as smoothly as when it was new. The carburetor is a fully rebuilt/ refurbished 4 barrel Quadrajet and it uses an auto heat choke system for easy starting.
The original single exhaust was replaced with a dual exhaust Magnaflow system and it sounds great. Not loud but not too quiet either.
Gearbox is silky smooth, goes through gears nicely without slipping or any other issues.
This is a factory A/ C car with all the elements under the bonnet. Blower/ fan works perfectly fine.
It has power disc brakes up front and drums at the rear. Also, very powerful, one-finger power steering. Under the bonnet you will find the factory emissions control sticker too.
Interior
Interior is in excellent condition. New upholstery, new headliner, lovely carpet. Dashboard has no damage and no cracks. Door cards all in amazing condition as well. Inside the glovebox you will find the original tyre pressure spec and servicing intervals information.
Everything electrical works! The dome light, all gauges/ lights, cigarette lighter, full beam indicator, key reminder/ buzzer, hazard lights, self-cancelling indicators and the concealed wipers (with new blades). Even the windshield washer works! Radio turns on and lights up but it's AM only so you'll only hear static. Speedometer is incredibly accurate too, 40MPH is 39-40MPH on the GPS.
In the boot/ trunk you will find the factory spare tyre. I've put a rubber matt down for carrying stuff in the back.
Body/ Exterior
A recent respray means the paint is excellent all round and has a lovely shine when out in the sun. I believe it's a Peugeot metallic green. Car has zero rust and is incredibly solid, including all floors, cowls etc. The underside was fully undersealed at a cost of £1500 so the car is protected from the UK weather conditions. No damage to glass anywhere.
Extra Info
The car comes with the white wall wheels/ tyres as seen on the pictures as well as the factory steel wheels with original hubcaps (pictured). Please keep this in mind if you're interested as the extra set of wheels will not fit in the boot.
What's really cool is that I have the factory build sheet for the car which has been laminated and is obviously included in the sale. I also have the original owner's manual and other booklets that came with the car when it was purchased in 1971-72. I have two sets of keys as well!
