Audi 2. 8 Cabriolet Auto (Final Reduction for end of season sale)
Stand out from the crowd in this rare and collectible genuine low mileage (57k miles) Automatic 2. 8 V6 Audi Cabriolet.
First registered 1997 “P” Reg. The engine is the 172 BHP V6 2771 litre with a maximum speed of 135 mph and combined fuel economy of around 30mpg. The gearbox is the four geared automatic.
Model is a two door Cabriolet in “Red Magenta Pearl”. First Registered 09. 05. 1997.
The car has recently had fitted a new battery and starter motor and drives really well. The Audi is in good all round condition for its age with no signs of any bodywork rust and excellent paintwork. The 2. 8 litre V6 engine sounds great whilst driving along country lanes with the top down. Wheels are in very good condition as are the tyres. Original manuals are intact in the original Black leather wallet. The stereo radio and retractible powered aerial both work well and are hooked up to a multi CD unit fitted in the boot space.
Internally there is an original Audi wind cover included in the sale which retracts and can be removed when taking rear passengers. You can no longer get these and it cost over £200!
As to be expected with a car of this age there are a few small cosmetic issues that are easily remedied. Externally there is a slight crack to rear bumper that can easily be repaired and internally the light brown leather seats are slightly stained (see pictures) from rain damage caused from leaving the roof down during a shower. However the leather is in good condition. If desired the leather could be refinished to a colour of the new owners choice. This can be done at a leather specialist. However the leather is still intact and perfectly serviceable if the new owner s happy with the colour.
The Cambelt was changed in 2007 but has only done around 4000 since fitting. For the past three years the car has been stored in a dry garage. Now it has been taxed and Mot’d (until 02. 05. 25) ready for sale. Genuine low mileage car that drives really well in a stand out colour. My favourite thing about the car is its engine noise which you hear with the top down on country lanes. The sound has depth and because of the engine size it revs at lovely low speeds.
There are seven previous owners. The last three owners have been family. I have a file with some of the more recent service bills so you can see what has been done to the car.
