Description
One of the last Spitfires produced.
This is running but needs partial restoration: the engine is good as are the clutch, gearbox and back axle but the car has been dry stored for a number of years and will need the brakes checking at the very least.
As far as I can tell the sills and floors are solid throughout as is the chassis. The bodywork needs attention all round especially the bonnet which is very poor but a spare and somewhat better bonnet is included, but both will need work. The paint finish on the boot lid is terrible. The bodytub is excellent and the interior is good with some good trim etc.
The hood and frame are also excellent and being a late model this car has the slightly wider wheels; even the exhaust seems good. Brightwork pretty good as well.
Ideally, it needs to be seen so you can decide the good bits and the bad bits yourself but I can certainly take more photos if required.
With the light fittings replaced this could be on the road quite easily albeit looking a bit scruffy and then improved over time. The car was taken off the road to tackle the bodywork but though the bonnet was removed along with the light fittings back and front and a few other items nothing further happened until it was brought out of storage recently.
