Description
Harley Davidson, WLC 45, flat head. Declared date of manufacture 1942, first registered in the UK 1996. One previous owner on V5C, whom I know. A lovely man who is Harley through and through and now in his 80’s, I bought the machine from him in August 2015. This is a civilianised bike with several useful modifications, indicators, external oil filter and clutch hand assist. There is also a Givi Topbox base attached to the rear carrier and a top box to go with it, I think I’d like to keep that. The engine is superb and runs like clockwork. The previous owner was a VMCC member as am I, he was also an engineer. The bike comes with some tools and a few spares plus a service manual and spares book. There is also a spare tyre which can go with the bike. The Harley is not a show bike, but one to be used. It has been to Ireland and the continent on many occasions and I would have no hesitation jumping on it a riding anywhere. It’s a lovely bike and I’m reluctant to sell, but it really does need to be used and other things have got in the way. I think my favourite thing about the Harley is it's patina, I bought it because I knew how well it had been looked after and there would be no nasty surprises and there hasn't been. The paintwork is good, but there is the odd mark here and there, which shows the bike has been used and it really does run lovely.
