Description

I'm selling my very rare 2nd generation Honda NSX.

These cars are incredibly rare in the UK with fewer than 150 ever being sold by Honda. Even globally the total number of cars produced was less than 3000.

My car comes in what I feel is the best colour combination of Andaro Nouvelle Blue Pearl paint, full black leather interior, black painted alloy wheels with matching black brake callipers.

If you are waiting to find the perfect NSX in the UK you can be waiting a long time finding one with lower mileage and options.

My car comes with the carbon brakes, carbon fibre rear spoiler, carbon fibre engine cover, carbon fibre interior components in addition to the other options such as ELS audio system, parking camera and sensors heated electrically adjustable seats, etc.

The car has had full paint protection film applied from new, has never been driven in the rain and is stored in a dehumidified garage.

Coming with full Honda history and a very careful and low 1200 miles the car has only been driven on roads and never on a track.

The car is as close to new as you could get.

As a life long Honda fan this car represented the ultimate dream car for me.

The car is simply amazing and looks stunning. Photos don't do the NSX justice, it was only when I actually saw one in the metal I realised how good it actually looks. Having owned both an original and 2nd gen NSX I feel very lucky to have experience them.

I'm only selling to fund a house move/ renovation.

I don't think you'll find another quite to this specification and mileage. I have watched the NSX market since 2016 when they released it and this is the only one I've ever seen in this combination/ spec regardless of mileage.

Current registration mark to be retained by seller. With the 3. 5 V6 Cosworth co-developed Honda engine, three electric motors and unique 9 speed automatic gearbox the NSX was an amazing car when unveiled in 2016. Built by Honda in a custom factory to specifications which are simply amazing.

Many reviews compared it to the Audi R8, McLaren 570 and Nissan skyline and criticised it for not being faster and being expensive. What most totally missed was the unique drivetrain Honda brought to a car that didn't cost £1, 000, 000 and to quote Chis Harris, a car that is more than the sum of its parts.

To drive, the NSX has an almost electric vehicle feel to it in quiet mode with the magnetorheological dampers softened giving a very comfortable and quiet ride. Change to Sport plus and you have an amazing sports car which is so easy to drive. Flicking between the two is just the flick of a switch and makes the whole experience simple. I've never tried track mode !

The cars looks also don't really come across well in photos, complaints of it looking like a cross between a Mclaren and R8 are totally wrong when you see one in person. I feel it echoes the Ford GT with the flying buttress design on the rear quarters. Sadly few people ever see these on the road so they don't get the chance to see how different it looks and still has concept car looks in 2024.

With other manufactures still only bringing out simple hybrid power chains in 2024 with a single electric motor you realise just how far ahead Honda was when this car came out.

Other reviews say the interior is dull and boring. Yes, it isn't a McLaren inside but it also has far better ergonomics then one and it also offers Apple car play which is all I need in a car. If you want a fancy interior buy an Audi R8 or McLaren. If you want a ultra rare, unique and reliable supercar this is much more appealing.

The last criticism was the cars weight. Yes it isn't the lightest car compared to a 570 but when you look at other modern cars it also isn't that heavy. If you look at a Mclaren underneath you see how they save weight. A thin piece of aluminium screwed in with plastic clips to try to stop rattles, the same as a £20K S1 Elise from 1997. Compare it to the NSX, engineered thick aluminium with bolt fixings. Not weight saving but designed to last and not rattle. It's still a Honda and engineered like one.

Long term I think the NSX will become a collectors item, it offers a nice blend of the future with the EV drivetrain and the petrol 3. 5 V6 giving you the dependability of any other petrol car. The design is stunning and it was engineered by Honda. With around 144 UK cars ever sold they are rare so finding the right one is never going to be easy. I'll be sad to see it go and doubt I'll ever buy another car quite like it.

Google Chris Harris NSX review or Guy Martin NSX review to see what positive reviews it received. Spend some time watching the NSX production centre videos on youtube or read and watch some of the other articles which reflect on what will be a future classic.

Everyone, including myself, wanted the 2nd gen NSX to be better than everything else on the market, be cheaper and somehow be an update of the original. That was never the goal of Honda, it was to engineer the most accessible sports car using the most current technology available and make it reliable and usable.
