1984 Citroen Gsa

LHD 1984 Citroen GSA Chic, final edition of 1200 made for the home market (France) with Long MOT
Lived in France and Spain for some years, then was Imported to UK.

I have owned this GSA a few years now and have done a fair bit of work including :-

New front drop links (hard to find)
New ball joints
New front lower bushes
Recent front upper bushes
New suspension boots (x4)
Recent LHM Feed pipe
Full LHM flush
All spheres changed recently
Recent LHD Clutch cable
Recent CV kit
Recent timing belts (x2)
Recent discs (front)
Recent pads (all round)
Full oil and filter change 300 miles ago
New Fan
New Fan belt
New fuel pump
Recent fuel rubber hoses
New battery
Recent alternator
Recent starter motor
New long pipe exhaust
New Y exhaust
Recent backbox
Replacement solid OSF wing (old one had patches, new one painted but not to a high standard. (If you want the old one I still have it)

Instrument cluster swapped for one that reads MPH and also has the RPM dial (car will also come with original KPH clock set, the miles on the replacement unit have been adjusted correctly to match the kilometres at time of transfer).

Both wings and inner wings have been stripped back, treated, painted and waxed (all solid )

Under the car looks tidy, floors solid, sills solid, back sections good, subframes good, rear inner arch weak points have been cut out and welded in to a good tidy standard, front tray/ crossmember completely rebuilt to a good standard.
A little surface rust here and there but nothing serious for a car of this age (mainly the bonnet edge and door steps).

Engine good, starts, stops, runs well, plenty of pull, tappets could do with an adjustment at some point but other than all good, this is the later engine with electronic ignition, 5 Speed Gearbox is good, slight whine but pretty normal for a GSA, clutch good, it's also a rare car as it was the last 1200 made, it used the headlining from the CX, a BX LHM tank and various other parts not commonly used on GSA's

Suspension working great, very soft ride, all Hight settings working as they should, no leaks or LHM loss.

I've driven this from Scotland to Luton, various other long runs too, She loves all weather conditions, never misses a beat!


To sum it up, She's a good tidy classic Though she isn't perfect, but looks great all the same!

Bodywork solid (unlike many)
LEFT HAND DRIVE
Limited Chic edition of 1200 total (I know of 2 in UK, mine being one of them, the other isn't on the road)
She becomes Historic class 1st Jan 2025, This means tax/ mot exempt. Very cheap to Insure too! (costs me around £90 a year)

Citroen GSA Chic
Originally built for the home market as an end of production limited edition (1200 made in total) and used in France, then Spain for a a few years, she later moved to UK where she was Registered on UK plates in 2012.

I purchased her from Scotland, took a flight up from Luton and drove her home the same day (The weather was heavy rain most the way back, She didn't miss a beat!)

She has a fair bit of service history from the French, Spanish and UK days. Original service books and manuals printed in French, along with many receipts from Chevronics etc.
