Description
For sale is my smoke grey Morris Traveller.
This was last on the road in 2012 and since then has been garaged.
It was my daily driver but as the wood started to deteriorate I decided to take it off the road with the intention of restoring it.
Between then and now I have bought a Saab 96 whose restoration is taking up all my spare time.
It ran before I parked it up but will need work to get it running.
The engine turns over on the starting handle .
I drained the rad to prevent damage from freezing.
When last on the road I refurbished all the brakes and suspension and fitting a telescopic shock conversion on the rear.
It had just had a new reconditioned gearbox fitted and clutch also.
Previous to my ownership the car had been laid up in a barn since the mid 80's.
It had never been welded but was given a pretty questionable respray.
It will obviously need the wood replacing and work to the bodywork.
The doors and door cards are good , as are the seats . The original carpets are also present .
I have one rear wing and various new trim pieces.
If I was going to restore a traveller I would choose this car as it has never been bodged or tarted up.
The pictures show the condition of the floors inner wings and engine bay . I honestly believe it will need very little welding or much work to get it running.
