MGB G MGB GT 4 speed + overdrive (1971 in Orange) 106k miles but less than 20k since rebuilt engine.
Coming with a huge history file, and an insurance valuation by Lancaster insurance of £12000, this car is in lovely condition and currently MOT’d. Under the bonnet, the engine bay is very clean as can be seen from the photos. Extensively rebuilt between 2006 and 2008 (including sills, castle rails etc ) with lots of photographic evidence, and has only covered around 20k miles since the rebuild.
The engine was rebuilt in 2012, including, re-bore, new big end bearings, balanced crank and pistons, new oil pump etc. head ported and polished, double cut valves, manifold, ported, taking the power up to around 120BHP..
The car has done significantly less than 20k miles since the engine rebuild.
The last owner before me added enhancements to the car, spending a lot of money with things too numerous to mention here but including a respray, new fuel tank, pump and pipes, brake upgrade and fitted a new servo, halogen light conversion, seats refurbished, Mota Lita steering wheel, electric fan, electronic ignition and so on, and a new exhaust was fitted last year.
I recently recovered the door cards in cream vinyl, but to be honest I wish I’d left them black. Consequently there are two brand new black door cards which I will give with car.
The speedo has had a documented speedo change. It shows 46k, the true mileage is106k, but the car has covered only 20k miles since the full rebuild and engine rebuild.
Although exempt I’ve kept the car MOT’d (currently currently runs to late September (no advisories), but I would MOT it again if necessary. I would also welcome any inspection if required and suggest the Classic Car Workshop at Darlington. This car is in lovely condition, has a huge history file and is currently MOT’d. Car was extensively rebuild between 2006 and 2008 and subsequently had extensive engine replacement and modifications, in 2012, which took the power to around 120BHP..
According to the paper MOT history The car has done less than 20k miles since the rebuild and therefore less than 20k miles since the engine rebuild.

I had a new exhaust fitted last year by the Classic Car Workshop of Darlington. Kel, the owner said “That car doesn’t half go, and when it does go, it wants to go some more”). (“That confirms the engine mods”, I thought to myself….)
Although exempt, I’ve kept the car MOT’d (currently currently runs to late September (no advisories). I do like the car, and I can see why there is still a huge following, but I also have 2 other MGs (although they are newer), and I'd like to free up garage space for the other two. If you're interested, I would also welcome any inspection if required.
