Genuine P11 Desert Racer
Showing 20000 milesThis must be the most documented example of the rare Norton P11 desert racer in existence. Owned by a U. S. Airman who purchased it nearly new in 1968 in California. The bike had been raced the year before in the Baha desert race, the engine internals were prepared/ polished at this time and has not been apart since except for a new set of piston rings. Since being in my possesion l have renewed the clutch and fitted an Amal Premier carb. At present the bike is geared for road riding with a 21 tooth final drive ring making 70 mph cruising a breeze. It pulls like a train with hardly any vibration which is amazing for an Atlas engine, l have not ridden the bike for a couple of years so it will need commissioning. It has been the subject of numerous Magazine covers and articles detailing its full history.
The bike is in great condition for its age and showing its patina, you could fully restore it or just give it a wax and enjoy riding it to the full.
In short you will not find another like this, am selling as l am reducing my collection
