I purchased this car in 2022 with the intention of improving and using it in my retirement . It had been off road since 2018. Sadly at the age of 74 I have realised that I am no longer able to give this old girl the attention it deserves. I have probably only driven fifteen miles in total. A trip to my local mechanic who fitted rear discs and pads and a heater fan resistor and for an MOT in May 2023 when it passed with a couple of advisories. It has been sat in my garage most of the time and has been started at least once a week and left running for 15/ 20 minutes and driven backwards and forwards to keep brakes free.
The bodywork for a 25 year old car is in fairly ok condition. Obviously some stone chips, scratches and slight lacquer fade on off-side rear quarter commensurate with age. The interior is in pretty good apart from a very dirty drivers carpet. Hood is ok (see pictures ). The rear clear screen could do with replacing as a couple of slits have appeared. The radio is not working and I only have one key but it is the RED one. Engine , gearbox and clutch all seemed ok when I have been behind the wheel but I think a good engine service would be beneficial. It also has a raspy exhaust tone which I think quite suits the car. PLEASE NOTE that this car would need to be transported and not driven away as it has been off the road for 6 years and in my opinion it would be foolhardy to drive more than a few miles without a really good check over. I am not trying to put prospective purchasers off . Just trying to be honest as possible. The electric roof always works although does groan a little on last few seconds of operation.
