Description
IPlease see for sale my early Norton Commando fastback Jan 1969 with matching frame engine and gearbox a bike I have always wanted.
The bike was restored to a high standard some time ago and is still in excellent condition aided by only being used in good weather and use of comprehensive stainless fittings throughout.
The lined fibreglass tank had failed which I have replaced with a steel tank which now fits very well. The original tank and badges are with the bike.
I have just been right through the bike replacing all the oils, fuel pipes, fitting an inline filter with new oil pipes and clips, Boyer power box and new sealed battery .
The previous owner fitted Amal premier carbs and new rings on standard bores, the engine is very sweet and starts very easily with Boyer ignition. The vernier isolastics are well set up.
The centre stand and side stand and frame are all perfect.
The rims are rare Dunlop and in very good condition overall this is a very original and straight example of an early round badge fastback ready for the road.
Original smiths green circle instruments, both working.
I have recently spent a good deal of time getting the details of the bike right ready for my personal use so it is with a heavy heart I am reluctantly offering this bike up for sale due to imminent house move which has forced my hand. Its an early jan 1969 original uk fastback getting quite rare now.
