This beautiful 1968 MG roadster comes with factory fitted overdrive, and is finished in Mineral Blue.
Inside the vehicle it features the sought after early metal dashboard with matte black "wrinkle" finish . This MGB Roadster has had just 4 owners from new, and has been well maintained and used sparingly as supported by the little mileage done since its full restoration and presents in a wonderful condition throughout, as shown by the magnificent chrome work and paint . The supplied Heritage certificate confirms that this is a home market vehicle supplied in its original factory colours and supplied by University Motors Ltd, specified with wire wheels, Dunlop radial tyres, heater and folding hood. Dispatched on the 18 September 1968 commission No: G23/ 010599-F.
The restoration of the vehicle was commissioned by a longstanding member of the MG Owners Club, who used the club to source all necessary parts and specialists. The car drives superbly, the engine having been rebuilt and upgraded to a 1950cc "Fast Road Specification", giving a much improved performance, alongside the gearbox and overdrive by Carlow engineering in 2008 before being fully rebalanced, this is a culmination of a restoration that began in 1994 when a new heritage shell was sourced from Moss. All invoices and receipts from the restoration are presented in folders and show the time and expense undertake to restore this iconic British car.
