Description
Lotus Elan Series 3 DHC first registered 1967.
The car has been off the road since around 2012, and is currently not running, therefore sold needing work or a full restoration. The previous owner had since late 1970s and stopped using due to ill health. The car is complete and had a replacement Spyder chassis chassis fitted. It is a genuine DHC car and originally left the factory in Cirrus White colour, the original buff logbook is present, as is the current V5, there is some history and some old pictures. I have some information from the Lotus archives, although records were sparse in 1967
The engine turns but is not turning on the starter, the interior needs attention, in particular the seat bases are rusty and they need recovering
The bodywork is in fairly good condition with little crazing, when we acquired her the paintwork was very faded however a good clean with T Cut has improved the appearance considerably. The hood is original and fits tightly, and also included is an original Lenham hardtop which does need some attention however the glass is good.
Genuine reason for sale.
We are located near Gnosall, between Stafford / Newport (Salop), postcode ST20 and viewing is most welcome, we can also have a ramp for inspection underneath.
Sorry, but not interested in swaps or part exchanges
