Porsche 911 3. 2 Carrera Cabriolet - 31k miles - concours
First ordered from Charles Follet in Berkeley Square by James Gulliver (at the time one of Britain’s wealthiest men) who collected the car on 12th April 1986. He kept the car until his death in 1996 at which point it went to his son Andrew and then from him to his daughter Alison who kept the car until 2015. From this point there are only 4 other registered keepers resulting in a total of 7 owners (with 3 from the same family). I have owned the car for two years, having purchased it from my cousin who owned it for 5.
The car has absolutely no rust and the quality of the solid black paintwork is excellent and fully covered in self-healing Suntek PPF to make maintenance simple.
The interior is in superb condition, with original full leather (a rare option) and new carpets due to fading of the originals, and two sets of mats fitted by Dave the Trimmer. Dave sympathetically restored the leather door caps due to leather shrinkage on the originals. I have had the leather dash reconnolised.
You will struggle to find a 3. 2 in better condition, or with such extensive factory options. The history of the car is also quite unique.

In my ownership, I have spent considerable amount of money taking the car to concours condition including the following:
- Extensive underside clean and replacement of all fixings with new
- Sympathetic Dinitrol protection
- New carpets by Dave the Trimmer and new sound deadening to replace the factory deadening that deteriorates with age. New door caps covered in leather as the originals were bowed (supplied with car)
- Installation of Classic Retrofit blade fuse panels
- New brake discs, pads, handbrake shoes
- A huge number of replacement parts including bumper bellows, fog lamps, washer bottle clamp, window rubbers, mirror glasses, windscreen, interior switchgear, wiper arms
- New stainless rear silencer
- Turbo tie rod ends
- New interior toe boards
- A/ C re-gas, new thermostat, repair of wiring for air fan speed, replacement front condenser - now blows cold
- Two stage machine polish
- Full self-healing Suntek PPF with Gtechniq Halo ceramic coating - as the solid black paint is otherwise hard to maintain
- Extensive tidying of the interior wiring, installation of Vodafone Cobra alarm, installation of Pioneer self powered sub under passenger seat. The car already had a Blaupunkt SQR 46 DAB Bluetooth head unit and Morel speakers front and rear
Although I cannot claim the car is ‘as new’, this is an exceptional example of a 3. 2, with absolutely nothing required to it.
There is probably much about the car I have forgotten to mention, but if you are interested to know more, I am happy to go into further detail.
