Description
1980 Spitfire 1500 with Overdrive. Hardtop in black, needs glass and rubbers inserting. Never used in my ownership.
Rebuilt rear suspension, including reconditioned differential, drive shafts, wheel bearing, poly bushed, Koni dampers, new transverse spring and lowering block, adjustable trailing arms.
Rebuilt front suspension, including, Canley Classics trunnionless kit, and adjustable top wishbone. Poly bushed, new springs and Koni dampers. New wheel bearings.
Moss reconditioned cylinder head including valve guides and valves, new head gasket.
New wider radiator and Revotec fan.
123 Ignition.
Oil Cooler
Replaced break, clutch and clutch master cylinder.
Canley Classics Injection moulded gearbox tunnel
Canley Classics seat foams, new covers were fitted several years ago, good but slight hole in one.
Front quarter panels at edge of front valance rusting, new fibreglass ones ready to be installed.
New heater matrix.
The car has been used regularly, including trips to the South of France. Mechanically excellent, body good but in need of a light refresh, save for the front quarter panels which need replacing.
This car has been an outstanding family classic car. It drives fabulously. A car you can get in an enjoy immediately. All the mechanicals have been sorted. The car was purchased as a a good vehicle, but in need of mechanically refreshing, so offered an opportunity to build it as I wanted.
It has provided enormous pleasure on both short and long trips and I am sure it will for a new owner.
