Description
The Jaguar MK 2 was first registered 25/ 04/ 1967.
I purchased the vehicle locally in a private sale in March 2012 having had 5 previous owners.
The MK 2 is very original having matching numbers.
Since I’ve owned the car I’ve redone all the breaking system, fitted the spoked wheels and added electronic ignition.
In 2018 the car was stripped back to bare metal and underwent a total re spray and several parts were re chromed.
The car is in excellent condition throughout.
The interior was replaced back in 1995 and still looks good. The walnut dash and door caps are also in good condition.
The Motorola radio has been upgraded to use an iPod.
When driving the Jaguar you experience a very smooth and comfortable ride in overdrive, the transmission system is quiet.
I am reluctant to sell the Jaguar but I simply don’t have the time to use it properly.
It deserves to be used and seen by the public and hopefully a new owner will do that. No documentation is available for the first 20 years.
During the 1990s extensive work was carried out on the vehicle, the owner had kept a comprehensive list of invoices, receipts and MOT certificates.
Sold in 2003, again receipts show more work carried out and an MOT for 2004/ 5 than put on SORN.
I purchased the MK 2 in 2012, put it through an MOT and it has been on the road ever since,
Driven during the summer months and garaged during the winter.
I have used the Jaguar several times in the past as a wedding car;
It looked really classy and received many compliments.
The major work done during my ownership was a complete body strip down and professionally resprayed in 2018/ 19 using quality materials.
The Jaguar starts first press on the button and has only let me down once in the past 12 years.
( it was the rotor arm )
