Description
Superb nut and bolt restoration only 5, 000 miles ago.
Arguably one of the prettiest British sports cars ever built, the 'A' was first shown to the world in September 1955 at the Frankfurt Motor Show.
This 1957 example of the MGA Roadster is finished in Gunmetal grey with light grey interior, red mohair hood and tonneau. This outstanding example was subject to a full nut and bolt ground up restoration finished in 2014.
A full bare shell repaint was completed as part of the restoration by Bill Mans Restorations in Queensland Australia and what an amazing job has been done. Sympathetically upgraded with an 1800 MGB engine and gearbox, upgraded suspension all round, calliper brakes and ventilated front discs, makes this car a joy to drive and easy to own.
Complete with a stainless steel exhaust, electronic ignition, the restoration has been carried out to an exceptional standard.
Finnished with classic Minilite style wheels, a Moto Lita 14” wooden steering wheel, completes the look.
Arriving from Australia in 2017 where it had been fully restored and converted to right hand drive in 2015.
The cost to build this car far outweighs the asking price today. In our opinion this is one of the best driving MGA’s which will be a pleasure to own and provide years of hassle free classic motoring.
Any inspection welcome and a independent vehicle pre-purchase assessment is available for inspection.
The car has covered 85k miles which is believed to be original with the history showing that it was registered in Queensland following restoration in 2015 at 82, 000 miles, Bought by current owner in Victoria in May 2015 at 82, 000, Repatriated back to the UK in 2017.
Has only covered an average of circa 300 miles per year since the rebuild. Only ever driven in the dry.
This lovely MGA is ready to enjoy straight away, either on rallies or local jaunts
The car is MOT and Tax exempt.
The car is garaged in (Oxfordshire), if you have any questions or would like to arrange an inspection, please get in contact.
