Description
An eye-catching and much-loved VW split-screen (LHD), fitted with a rock ’n' roll bed, fridge, sink, dual-hob gas stove and plenty of storage. She has mains electric hook-up and a split-charge system with leisure battery.
Engine: A rebuilt 1600 single port from TES was installed in 2015. This engine has only done 9500 miles since. The scheduled 500m/ 5000m/ 10000m services have all been completed. Next service is due at 15000m.
Gearbox: Gearbox rebuilt by Bears Motorsport, Solihull at same time as engine, together with new clutch. Reduction boxes rebuilt; all bearings replaced. Rear hub oil seals replaced. Gear box linkage bushes seals and couplings replaced. EMPI hurst style quick shifter. New battery and fuel pump in 2022.
Brakes, Steering and Suspension: 14-inch stock steels with white wall tyres, the spare is unused. Drum brakes all round. All rebuilt with wheel cylinders, hoses, and shoes. Dual circuit master cylinder upgrade. Adjustable front beam (Avis Style) and shocks, set to stock height.
Bodywork: White over blue done before our ownership and showing some signs of age in the usual places. Underbody waxoyled. Deluxe belt line trim, spotlights, and brand new VW halfmoon hub caps.
Cab Interior: Cream and teal vinyl upholstery. Four x 3-point inertia reel seatbelts. Marine ply door cards decorated with OS maps, Madmatz sisal carpet. Period Blaupunkt radio with aux input upgrade. Double 12v socket. Spare wheel (unused) behind cab seats. Wheel brace and VW jack.
Camping Interior: 3/ 4 width rock n' roll bed. SMEV twin burner hob. Sink with tap and 12V pump, clean water and waste storage. Bespoke interior finish with plenty of storage. Headlamp feature interior lighting. All-round matching cream and teal curtains. Removable child's cab bunk or luggage storage option.
Camping Exterior: Comes with VW Vango 4m x 3m Drive-away awning in Blue and Gray (as per photos) 4 years old, with groundsheet, plenty of zipped openings, windows, additional ceiling sheet, carpets. Other extras, such as lighting, storage, Thetford toilet and tent (unused).
