For Sale is my very low mileage 1989 Mk2 Golf GL 1. 8 Manual. This is quite a rare spec having blue seats, carpets and dash and is in really good condition for its age. Its a very reluctant sale of the car which I've had for close to 3 years now. I bought the car on 47k miles and have since put another 21k on it so it's still very low mileage at only 68k! Throughout that time I've spent lots on maintaining and upgrading the car. Some things I've had done/ have been replaced in my ownership are as follows:
- New brakes all round including new upgraded mk4 golf rear calipers at the back and new flexi's (previous owner convered to a GTI rear beam)
- New Bilstein and Eibach shocks and springs (25mm lower than standard)
- New sump after oil leak
- Cambelt changed in 2021
- New radiator, water pump and thermostat (2 weeks ago)
- New weber carburettor fitted a few months ago to replace the original Pierburg carb.
- New wings, rear inner and outer arches plus windscreen repair and part respray in 2022 (see photos)
- Pirelli P-slot wheels (could do with a refurb if you're picky) Tyres all have good tread. Car can come with a full set of original steel wheels.
- Aftermarket Sony Bluetooth radio with Upgraded Alpine speakers
Car also has an Aftermarket sunroof fitted back in the 90's which has no leaks and functions fine.
Car will be serviced prior to sale and full years MOT can be arranged at full asking price.
