Description
The current owner acquired this Ulster in 2016 through a specialst dealer, it was then comprehensibly restored and upgraded with great care and research to represent the original 1936 Ulster condition.
The long wheelbase body is all aluminium by Rod Yates and suitable for even tall drivers. Fully rebuilt engine (new pressure-fed crank, pistons, con rods, high output oil pump , gearbox (4 speed, new synchro-mesh), brakes (front hydraulic, rear drums with cables) and suspension rebuilt, all new correct instrumentation and dashboard, correct period mirrors, twin aero screens, tonneau cover, aluminium fuel tank, alternator, solid state battery, leather interior, new tyres, including two spare wheels, tonneau, radiator core (Bentley spec) and quick release bonnet.
Sympathetically resprayed in original blue to represent an aged patina. This Ulster was owned by two consecetive well known UK owners (one quite short) and the long wheelbase body can also accommodate tall drivers (current guardian is 6'4''), even with big feet, due to carefully spaced pedals! The leather seats are durable and comfortable, the fishtail exhaust emits a sporty rasp, while the care in creating its original factory look easilly gives you the full vintage driving experience!
