Lancia Flaminia GTL 3C 2. 8, year 1968. First registration 30 January 1968. Chassis (VIN) number the details below, engine number 826000* 220968. Colour grey metallic combined with a dark red leather interior and grey carpet. This gorgeous Lancia Flaminia GTL 3C was never restored and is an a good to very good original condition. The car shows a very nice patina of a life of 55 years lived. A spot of corrosion can be found in the lower front edge of the passenger door. In 2012-13 we have purchased the car for a client. The seller was Mr. Guy Verhofstad, a former president of Belgium. The engine was overhauled in 2015. The Lancia was kept in a collection, the engine has run only about 100 kilometres ever since. You will appreciate the greatness of the Lancia engineering in the post war years. This is a true ‘gentleman’s coupe’ and a driver car par excellence! This Flaminia is one of the last cars which were built with a Touring bodywork and powered by the powerful 2. 8 litre engine. The 2. 8 Litre V6 engine features three carburettors and is delivers a healthy 150 horsepower. Lancia has always been an engineer’s ‘marque’, the cars show off many original technical solutions. The Flaminia features a so-called ‘trans-axle’ gearbox which is mounted in unit with the rear axle to obtain an ideal front / rear weight distribution.
