2004 MG TF 80TH ANNIVERSARY EDITION 160 No1207 FOR SALE
For sale - now this is a rare MG - not the usual sunstorm or monogram classed as 'rare' but a genuine MG 80th Anniversary 160- I have had this car in storage for four years but constantly upgrading it to the condition it’s in today. I haven't seen another 160 for sale in the 4 years I've owned it - if TF's are ever going to appreciate surely this must be the one - there are 45 of this model at the last count with only 24 on the road - now to whats been done at 76 thousand miles it had new head gasket, water pump, all belts changed and a major service - Pipes underneath are stainless steel it has the original colour coded hard top can be seen in the photos, hood cover, mesh windstop, upgraded new stereo, bluetooth handsfree phone, grooved front discs, new back discs and pads, a new hood with heated glass rear screen, the scu has been replaced and new key fobs so no problem with the alarm system stopping you starting the car, all wheels stripped back and re lacquered to new condition, the body work is immaculate with both me and the previous owner it has not wanted for anything – MOT until 29/ 04 2025 - 86k miles at last MOT– excellent summer car and with the 160VVC engine it pulls like a steam train
This is an extremely rare historic example of the mg tf 80th anniversary model. By way of background, 2004 was the company's 80th anniversary. To celebrate they announced, what turned out to be the last special edition before MGs 2005 collapse. Limited to 1600 cars, just 500 (all numbered) were allocated to the U. K. it came in three colours - black, silver and, MGs iconic Goodwood Green with the tan soft top. There were also three engines - the 115, 135 and 160bhp. Most went to MG car club members.
