Multi award winning VW MK2 Golf 16v Turbo, owned and restored by myself for over 20 years. Stored in a dehumidified garage. The car has undergone a no-expense spared, high quality rebuild since 2010 and was unveiled in its current guise in March 2020 at Ultimate Dubs.

Full bare metal repaint in 2015
Painted in VW LC3U Dark Burgundy pearl (MK2 Golf G60 Edition 1 colour)

DTA S40 ECU mapped by ChipWizards (running in map given usage of car)

All elements fully chromed including, wishbones, subframe, engine cross members, engine mounts, rear axle, stub axles, front hubs, front hub carriers, rear axle mount brackets and fuel tank straps.
All rebushed using Powerflex black series bushes
Carbon skinned MK3 VR6 Golf fuel tank with Walbro drop in motorsport fuel pump and Stealth Racing adaption kit.
Carbon skinned MK3 Golf VR6 fuel filter housing
Rear axle converted to improved Seat Ibiza rear hubs and bearings
Epytec 5x100 conversion hubs
Vibratechnics engine mounts throughout
Brakes:
All brakes fully chromed and rebuilt with new seals
Audi S2 twin piston front calipers
MK3 golf rear brake calipers for improved handbrake
MK2 Golf G60 280MM front discs
Seat Ibiza rear 256mm discs
Tilton overslung pedal box mounted behind dash with AP stubby master cylinders matched to the caliper spec. Clutch pedal is also part of the pedal box and converts the car to hydraulic clutch.
Remote chromed reservoir mounted in engine bay feeding system
All brake pipes remade with coated stainless flexi hoses mounted in the car and equipped with stainless steel fittings

Fully retrimmed interior conducted by Cherry Upholstery, BMW Alpina style theme with exterior and chrome influence into the custom stitching throughout.

Powerflex bushesThis MK2 has been built to an extremely high standard and is laced with all the rare parts that the enthusiasts dream of getting there hands on. This is your opportunity to own a piece of VW history that is well renowned within the VW show circuit. Ideal for someone who wants to attend shows/ meets with it or just to sit in the garage/ collection and look at.
The videos and pictures do not show the true detail that has gone into this car. All screw heads are chromed (even the ones you can't see) and all face the same direction to give you a flavour of the detail level. Its turns heads and that's before people see under the bonnet. The chrome and paint colour really pop against each other. The car has to be seen in the flesh to appreciate the quality of the build.
The car comes with wheel stands and mirrors so the wheels can be removed and couple with the mirrors to show off the details that most other show cars cannot reach. Especially the features within the floor pan and wheel arches.
I originally bought the car as a 50k miles standard MK2 Golf 8V GTI to where you see it today.
The car has been trailered to shows due to its chrome discs brakes and therefore has not required an MOT for this usage. The car could be converted to road usage with ease though should the new owner wish to use it on the road. This would require new discs and a fresh MOT being sought. Ideally a power run map for the ECU too. I would also recommend raising the suspension for road usage which i can happily conduct for the new owner.
My insurance have an agreed value for the car of £50k to give a flavour of an external value.
I have spent in excess of £80k in building this car without including my labour time (24 years motor trade experience and qualified manufacturer Master Technician). My labour hours are in to the 1000's with this car.
The paint work of the car is extremely good and is a testament to people who painted it given it was 9 years ago.
I have a new venture looming so therefore its time for someone else to enjoy this master piece.
