Description
A very original 1946 mgtc in excellent driving condition.
Imported from the uk into Sweden in July 76 .
There the Ash frame and tub was rebuilt by Hans Larsson and signed
on the new Ash cross member by him at the time.
The car was in Sweden from 1976 to 2014 under his ownership,
only doing just under 5000 miles in that time on a factory replacement
EXPAG engine that must have been fitted in the 1950s.
The Engine Was rebuilt in 1979 with honing, Crank grinding,
New pistons, liners, bearings, Oil pump gears and shaft.
To date the car has only covered a further 7000 miles.
The Swedish registration plate was KJB 122.
Imported and sold in Uk by classic sports car specialists Millerhill Automobiles
( Stockholm, London, Paris) in 2014, to proprietor of MA Autos Wrexham.
He re-registered the car back onto its original Uk plate.
MA Autos sold to a private owner in Oct 2016 who
having only completed a few more miles,
sold it to me having run out of garage space!
There is a comprehensive history file, and even a video of the car
in 1966, when it was red and owned by student, now retired,
who sent me the film.
I have spent over £10, 000. 00 since I bought in 2017 and have the invoices.
The car now runs beautifully, and the bodywork and underside are excellent.
The car is capable of 70 mph and the brakes are excellent.
Sigma engineering thought the engine super smooth
and suggested that it may have a lightened flywheel and mild road cam.
Oil pressure is 60 at 3000 revs 45/ 50 when hot at idle.
The car is fitted with leather seats, a water temp Gauge and radio.
There is remote controlled indicator/ hazard light strapped to the spare wheel, controlled by a removable button box on the dash. 2017

Strip down of bonnet, wings and fuel tank,
partial respray ... inc back to bare metal body tub (pics available)
New dark green beading

slow run cable and lever with fittings

Front 2 shock/ dampers rebuilt and re bushed

2019
Brown and Gamon Heat Shield
New battery
Rolling road re tune Sigma Engineering, inc new needles and distributer parts
Both rear axels fitted with new hex nuts with lip seals and new sealed bearings.
New Carb to carb pipe, Pump to carb pipe, rad/ water hoses.
New set of 4 tyres to include inner tubes and rim bands
Added a spotlight (wired but not linked to switch)
Rad stripped down to repaint rad grill to match biscuit interior (leather)
2020
Refurbished the side screen frames and cut out the
as yet unmolested canvas coverings
(to reveal the transparent skins) that were
also with the car and probably from the 1970’s.
The canvas colour exactly matches the hood
and tonneau cover of same vintage also supplied with the car
Added the nuts bolts and new fixing bars with tapered ends.
Fitted the fixing brackets to the doors and rear cockpit.
Refurbished the third (rear) shock/ damper to inc new bushes.
Replaced rad & engine drain taps,
Spark plugs, existing oil filter housing
with new spin on version [a match of the original].
Main core plug behind manifold replaced.
New half shaft and hub to rear drivers side
New oil pressure hose from block to bulkhead
New 6 bladed water pump.
New thermostat
Flush out of radiator and engine block with water jet.
Refurb of fuel pump with new points, gaskets, 90 degree elbow washers etc.
Clean pump filter.
Fit new petrol tank filter outlet.
Fit new Bell stainless steel exhaust with all relevant gaskets and brackets
Replace all fluids, gearbox, diff, brake, engine oil, rad coolant.
Greased all nipples inc prop shaft.
2021
Replace Oil pipe from pump to spinoff filter.
New spark plugs
New seat slide set both sides
Strip and re-varnish walnut Dashboard
2023
Rebuild brake master cylinder with new rubber kit
Fit improved brake m/ cyl Push rod.
Fit improved long extended nut to m/ cyl.
New front brake hoses
New rear brake hoses
Clean and check all brake internals
Checked all fluids
Greased all nipples
Many other things too small to list.
