Of course, I have the V5, the Exempt status is current, and you can view the MOT record on the DVLA website!Reimported by California Classics, Hull in 1999, converted to right-hand drive, and restored by them for a private buyer. Ivor Searle reconditioned engine fitted at that time. Their build sheets are included in my comprehensive history file. I guess the recorded mileage is what the car has covered since then. Subsequently 2 changes of keeper before me. Although standard spec the engine drives well and the Mazda 5-speed box is a vast improvement over the MG one with much better intermediate ratios for modern traffic, and without the complexity, drag and weight of the overdrive unit. The Mazda clutch is very sweet. Suspension and brakes remain standard spec, and they display no shortcomings. There is a Heritage Certificate, BL Workshop Manual and replica Drivers Handbook, there's even a 1972 AA Members Handbook!
The car was driven to MGB60 in 2022 at Gaydon and appeared in the 'front-row'. Has been to other shows too.
I am a realistic seller and have reduced the asking price. The insurance value is newly set at £10000 this year (- previously £11k.). The car underwent its annual MoT test in August, passed with no Advisories.
She will come with a number of spares and consumables. The MG overdrive gearbox (-in working order) and new unused 55A alternator, brake servo, Moto Lita 14" leather bound steering wheel, Spax front tele shockers, are also available at negotiable prices, or will be included where the offer is at or above asking price.
End of summer now, this is the last price reduction for this year.
Come and look (- if serious, of course), this is a good 'B'.
