Beautiful 1968 VW Karmann Ghia coupe, LHD, in her original, one-year-only Regatta Blue colour.
Imported from Bakersfield, California – the driest state of them all – this coupe had been kept on a US air-force base and driven regularly. Arrived looking a bit shabby but with great bodywork and sound mechanics - no welding or filler anywhere on the body.
Fully documented, body-off restoration and professional respray.

Anti-stone chip paint to underside and wheel arches. Sound deadened throughout for a quieter, more comfortable ride.
I have left the towel rail bumpers with their patina including trace of the original USAF stickers. Couldn’t bring myself to strip and sort them.
Comes with 2x full key sets, plenty of receipts and comprehensive photos of the restoration work, plus her birth certificate from the VW automuseum in Wolfsburg.
As an added bonus, she comes complete with the original, full-colour sales brochure from 1968.
Period-correct rear-mounted suitcase rack and other period-correct accessories and parts available if required.
She is in incredible condition throughout with fully documented / photographed files of the many hours of work carried out and parts receipts.
Garaged, regularly serviced, driven and well looked after by a serial VW air-cooled fanatic. Selling as this project is now complete. This car is in absolutely fantastic condition and ready to go for spring/ summer 2022 fun.

Market seems all over the place - have reduced price a bit but happy to take sensible offers. Am separately looking for a panel van or early bay single double cab if anyone out there fancies a part exchange or swap.
