Description
POJ 725N is an original factory chrome bumper MGB GT V8 produced in October 1973 and sold by the dealership ‘Swift of Birmingham’
The car retains its original factory specification including ‘Bracken’ paintwork and ‘Autumn Leaf’ interior trim.
Little is known of the cars history between 1973 and 1995 when it was purchased by the president of the royal automobile club in Tenerife.
We are advised that he bought it due to its low mileage and striking colour combination.
The car was taken to Tenerife and formed parts of a private museum, whilst there the car benefitted from ‘in house’ servicing and it was treated to a full re-spray sometime in the late 90’s.
The car was repatriated to the UK in 2021 and was re-issued with its original registration number as shown.
The car has obviously benefitted from spending 25 years of its life in a warm climate and bodily presents very well. I would describe the bodywork as very good.
The car retains its original composite Dunlop wheels, the interior is very original and shows some signs of age but considering many would consider its condition more than acceptable.
The car has a fully functioning Webasto sunroof, the headlining section of the sunroof would benefit from being replaced.
Mechanically the car starts easily and runs well, all gears select and on the road everything performs well including the over drive function.
We have priced the car very realistically and it represents a great opportunity to buy a genuine V8 in truly sound condition that can either be used and enjoyed as is or has scope for being taken to a higher level if so desired.
UK transport can be arranged at a discussed fee so please ask.
