Description
We have great pleasure in offering for sale a possibly unique opportunity to acquire an original unrestored example of a 1979 Honda CBX 1000 ‘Z’ in superb condition complete with a large file of documentation. This includes registration documents, old MOTs, a copy owners manual, receipts, CBX Riders Club literature and paraphernalia together with a spare key. The bike has been unused for about 3 years so may require some recommissioning prior to use and has been fully reflected in the price.
This motorcycle was supplied new in Germany to a British Air Force pilot in 1979 and was also used in Italy according to one of the included letters from a former owner. Accordingly this particular CBX is European spec and is fitted with a km/ h speedometer which currently has a recorded reading of 54, 543 km. This equates to around 33, 900 miles. This is pretty reasonable mileage for a 44 year old motorcycle but the condition which is fantastic belies this mileage and is a credit to its former owners, the most recent of which having cosseted it for the last 25 years! This machine was brought back to the UK in 1995 and there is only one recorded subsequent change of ownership to its long term steward in 1997.
So our CBX is looking for a new owner to invest the same amount of love and care as the previous ones, who can hopefully also use and enjoy it particularly with summer just around the corner!
The machine will require light recommissioning as it has been unused for 3 years, however it runs/ rides and sounds fabulous, this has been accounted for in the very realistic asking price so please don't make any low offers.
If you require any further information or have questions please feel free to message us or call and ask for William.
Collection from our South Shropshire premises located at SY5 7HD is preferred but we can arrange UK mainland delivery at the buyer’s additional cost if required.
