Description
Having access to the 1965 Mini Marcos moulds that were used by South African Marcos dealer Brian Raubenheimer, I am inviting expressions of interest from anyone looking to have built a Mini Marcos of this era.
Specification:
All fixing brackets are of the genuine Mini Marcos type, fabricated from the plans relating to Mini Marcos construction dated 1965. Epoxy glue and glass fibre resin are used throughout and all materials are Lloyds approved, namely gelcoat and chopped strand mat (300g m2, 450g m2, 600g m2 and 900g m2). All fixation holes relating to the front and rear subframes are pre-drilled and a Mini bulkhead (from a Mini MkI/ II) is welded to the Marcos brackets, the components finished with glue and fibreglass resin.
This car should be FIA eligible and suitable for the Goodwood Revival, as well as the Le Mans Classic and Spa Six Hours, together with other historic racing events.
The entry level kit includes the bodyshell, left and right hand doors plus inner door cards, bonnet and air vent. The buyer has a choice of dashboard (from MkI to MkIV); also included is a battery box, a pair of Mini Marcos seats and handbrake bracket, with all subframe fixing holes pre-located.
Options include alloy window frames, front and rear glass, front and rear frames and rubbers to suit. Customers can specify a gel coat colour or opt for a sanded and ready 2k primed shell.
Price for the above stage, £8, 750.
Engines and gearboxes can also be sourced: just get in touch with your requirements.
