Sunbeam Model S8 1949 500cc in line twin
This is a very good example of one of the best of the 1950’s British luxury touring machines having then unique shaft drive (no messy chains!) and a car like engine designed by Erling Poppe, as an oil leak free casing.
Restored by a friend and previous owner during 1995, including a fully rebuilt engine by specialist Stewart engineering, I acquired the vehicle in 2010 since when it has been maintained in a dry garage. I have all the workshop and operating manuals together with history. the Mileage cannot be guaranteed though it has clearly done few miles.
whilst not required it was last MOT'd in 2011.
I also have many spare parts which include a complete rear drive assembly which may be purchased if required by the purchaser.
