It is said the Elise saved Lotus as a company. The S2 was the needed refinement of the original design.
Here for sale is my 2002 Elise S2 . In good all-round condition.
It has the 1. 8L K series engine, which has done 168K miles but not needed any cylinder head attention. It comes with plenty of service history. And a nil advisories MOT until 29/ 8/ 24. I think the mileage is reflected in the price.
I have owned the car for 2. 5 year, and only added 2000 miles. That is my reason for selling it. The combination of a 122BHP engine, 714kg kerb weight and under 6 sec 0-60 make it a pleasure to drive especially on twisty roads. I find it more exciting than the Boxster I had previously.
While owning it, I have improved the car by adding a new battery and attending to the paint and bodywork. It now looks as good as it drives. It comes in my favourite colour of Maroon with grey interior. It is fitted with a Radio, CD player.
I prefer to drive the car in the dry, with the top open. I rarely use the hard top that comes with it. It also has a soft top which is stored in a bag in the boot in case you get caught in a shower or keep you warm if you are driving in the winter. It only takes a few minutes to fit. It is always garaged, and only driven on dry days.
The prices of Elises are rising, so grab yourself a bargain.
