Description
First registered 13th May 1958 , chassis number 110 making this landrover one of the earliest series 2 Landrovers around. It retains a series one engine still that the very first swb series 2s had which runs like a Swiss watch and has its original axles and gearbox with the 141 prefix numbers .
It was tastefully fully restored about 15 years ago with the fitting of a galvanised chassis, bulkhead blasted and properly treated and painted. The axles were rebuilt especially the front axle with only genuine Landrover parts including the spheres , rialco bushes etc some stock obtained from dunsfold Landrover being new old stock.
It has a new auto sparks wiring loom , new hood , original hoops and cappings etc. Fitted with a fairy overdrive.
It does drive very well with all new track rods and arms etc.
The vehicle is not concours condition but very respectable , it has not covered many miles since restoration and is always stored inside.
I have owned it since 1996 and feel it needs a new home since I have other projects on the go.
I will consider sensible offers around the asking price. Has a full V5 log book in my name with it’s original Wiltshire reg number
