Citroen Traction Avant 11B Normale
1953 big boot model Paris built LHD 1911cc
This car will come with a new MOT and fully serviced. I bought ESV 490 as a wedding anniversary present way back in June 1996 from Classic Restorations. V5 shows one UK owner before that. Black with cream wheels. Big boot model with extra leg room for back seat passengers. Carpets etc in excellent condition with seats correctly re-upholstered in striped grey fabric with vinyl backs. Roof lining was immaculate, but unfortunately now damaged due to mouse. The lining needs repair or replacing. Quote shown on Traction Owners Club forum approx £450 for replacement, but maybe be slightly more now, so car is priced accordingly.
Paintwork generally really good, but there are some odd bits of blistering on door bottoms and a few other spots. Door sills are good , as is underneath as car has been waxoiled. It looks beautiful when polished and was used last year as wedding car for my daughter. ( I couldn't sell before that finally happened, as wedding delayed 3 times due to covid). Now selling as it needs a new home and having downsized I haven't a garage so currently just sits unused and stored in a dry garage facility near Heathfield in East Sussex. She just needs a bit of TLC to make her look immaculate. (That's the Citroen, not my daughter!)
Chrome headlights, badges and all chrome work is good. Mechanics good, new fuel pump and car starts perfectly... Fully converted from 6v to 12 volt electrics by John Gillard at Classic Restorations, the Traction specialists. All bills and receipts will come with the sale as have spent a good few thousand pounds over the years getting it right. Also have traction magazine articles and some old Traction Owners club mags to go with it.
Registered for historic Tax. I would take a sensible offer for quick sale, as costing me £100 per month dry storage but now just need a good home with another Citroen Traction Avant lover.
