specialist in classic and prestige vehicles in Lyon, offers you this true legend of the French automobile developed by Jean Rédélé: an Alpine A110 Berlinette, equipped with the V85 1300cc 80hp engine. Officially called the '1300 VC', Alpine decided to broaden its target market by presenting a berlinette with the engine of the Renault 12 TS at the 1969 Paris Motor Show, but with around 20bhp more power, in order to lower its entry price. It was a kind of return to its roots, which played a major part in the democratisation of the A110. From 1972, the V85 simply became the '1300', and production ended in 1976.
Presented in its very rare original metallic brown Alpine code 'RE 3427' with a light brown interior, our matching colours example was delivered new to Dieppe in 1975 and has known only 3 owners to date. The first kept it until 1979, leaving it in the hands of the second owner, who kept it for 41 years, until 2020, when it was acquired by the current owner. Under the bonnet, the 1300cc (1289cc) 4-cylinder engine with inverted twin Weber 32 Dir carburettor is the original one. It recently underwent a major overhaul, including the fitting of a liner and piston kit, adjustment of the various clearances, replacement of hoses/ cables/ fastenings, overhaul of the steering system and oil and filter changes, among other things.
