Reluctant sale of my 1972 Spider 1600. Bought in France in 2022 from a local retired "garagiste" who acquired it in 1980 and serviced and repaired it in his own workshop over the intervening 42 years. CT until June 2026, but a new one will be provided before collection .
Engine - The engine is in good original condition and pulls very well . No smoke , odd noises etc. Original spec on points and distributor set up with twin 40 Dellortos.
Bodywork - Very good condition , bare metal respray in 2021.
Front Bumper has very small mark at side .
Carello headlamp covers in good order
Chassis - very good . Previous small amounts of welding evident at usual places - eg front floor
Interior - good original condition with Alfa rubber mats, metal dash etc.
Hood - good overall - needs a small repair to fabric. Rear window is clear.
Latest Valuation report ( 2021 @ 57399km) from Expertise Auto value was 26000 euros - copies will come with other documentsThis Spider is a low mileage , well maintained example owned for many years by an enthusiast/ technician ( who rallied and maintained many different Alfas back in the day ). Original registration in France. It has good patina and drives very well. Sounds sweet and tight. Still handles very well and keeps up with modern traffic easily. We did an enjoyable 750 km round trip to Biarritz last September without any issues. Very sorry to see it go, but new house roofs are not cheap.
